Meet Our Pastor
Senior Pastor Rev. and Mrs. Corey Lovers
When Corey Lovers, Senior Pastor of River of Life Acton Foursquare Church, retired from his position as Captain for the Los Angeles County Fire Department after 27 years of service, little did he know that God would call him to pastor a church. While as a paramedic he had witnessed many people’s lives being rescued from dangerous situations, today he is witnessing God rescue, renew and restore lives –a vision God gave him in 2012.
Church Vision: Our vision is to see the Lord rescue, renew and restore your life!
His vision is threefold – Rescue: to deliver you from harm or death – Renew: to renew a right spirit within you. Psalm 51:10 says God LOVES YOU and will renew your mind, emotions and will – Restore: to restore you to a place of honor, health, prosperity and purpose of life.
Known for his compassion to reach the lost and see lives changed by the power of the Holy Spirit, he believes the mission of River of Life Acton Foursquare Church can be summed up in John 7:38, “Whoever believes in me streams of living water will flow from within him.”
He and his wife, Lorna, have been married 38 years. They have two sons, Corey, Jr., Mark, a daughter-in law, Jennifer, a grandson, Benjamin, and a daughter, Rachel.
He is on the Board of Directors for Remote Area Ministries, and has made 24 missionary trips to eight different countries, including Thailand, India, Nepal, Swaziland, South Africa and Peru. He is also an on-call Chaplain for Los Angeles County Fire Department and an advisor for Aglow International’s Santa Clarita Lighthouse.
Lorna Lovers (Pastor’s wife/Worship Leader)
Lorna began her life of ministry teaching two and three year olds at a local church in the San Fernando Valley area. A worship leader with the heart of a psalmist, as a teenager she taught herself how to play the piano and then took a bold step and volunteered as a pianist for a local junior high school choir.
Today, she serves alongside her husband, Corey, senior pastor, as worship leader and head of women’s ministry at River of Life Acton Foursquare Church.
Associate Pastor Rev. and Mrs. Norton
Rev. David Norton has a passion to preach the gospel to his city. Not only is he a passionate minister he is also a father, husband, and many other roles he fills. His main desire is to preach and teach and help grow a church in Acton, CA.
